FRONT LOAD OEDOMETERS (CONSOLIDATION)

The Front load oedometers is a frame manufactured from aluminium alloy to provide a high degree of accuracy with minimum distortion.

The frame is designed to load the sample via a lever arm assembly and one of three alternative beam ratios 9:1, 10:1 and 11:1. The beam is fitted with a counterweight and beam support cylinder.

The cell platform accepts the full range of consolidation cells and is fitted with a central spigot to ensure accurate centring of the cell under load.

The fixed ring consolidation cells are manufactured from corrosion resistant materials and comply with the requirements of the relevant standards. An integral water reservoir is incorporated into the cell, allowing the sample to be flooded if required. All cells are supplied with a top and bottom porous disc, pressure pad and cutting ring (sample).
