MANUAL LIQUID LIMIT DEVICE (CASAGRANDE)
The Manual liquid limit devices (Casagrande) are used to determine the moisture content at which clay soils pass from plastic to liquid state.
The Devices consist of an adjustable crank and cam mechanism, a blow counter and a removable brass cup fitted on the mechanism. Different models with the same shape but with different base and cup weights are available according to the required specifications.
• 54-CD461400 model are supplied with a ASTM type plastic grooving tool.
• 54-CD461410 model is supplied with a BS type plastic grooving tool.
• 54-CD461420 model is supplied with a NF type brass grooving tool.
Other types of grooving tools should be ordered separately. (see accessories)
Manual model liquidity limit device (Manual Casagrande) suplied with:
• Brass cup in chrome-plated,
• Crank drive system with cam,
• A Blow Counter,
• Base,
• Grooving tools according to the standard of the ordered model.
