UNBONDED CAPPING PADS
Unbonded capping pads and retainers are designed for compression tests on concrete cylinder specimens as an alternative to the traditional sulphur capping and grinding method.
The system uses two steel retainers applied to the flat surfaces of the cylinder, with neoprene pads placed between them. This arrangement ensures even load distribution, minimizes stress concentrations, and provides accurate and repeatable test results.
