Böhme abrasion tester is used for determining the abrasion resistance of paving stones, concrete slabs, natural rocks, natural stone slabs.
The Böhme machine adjustable charger used produce a force of 294N ± 3N on a specimen. The machine is equipped with a display control panel that allows the setting of speed and number of cycles. Once the machine is started, it will automatically stop at the end of the set number of cycles programmed on the controls panel.
Abrasive sand must be ordered separately.
The Böhme abrasion tester is essentially composed of:
• A grinding wheel approximately 750 mm in diameter, a removable test mass of 30 kg.
• Clamping device for the sample.
• Digital control panel

OPERATION
1- 20g of standard abrasive sand is placed on the test mark.
2- The sample is fixed to the clamping device on the abrasive disc, with standard abrasive sand sprinkled on the trace.



3- The position of the cleaning brushes is adjusted.



4- The RPM value is entered from the digital panel and the start button is pressed.



5- The disc is rotated at 30 ± 1 rpm, applying an abrasion force of (294 ± 3) N to the sample.
6- The decrease in sample volume is calculated.
